Inspired by the myth of Hebe, goddess of youth and symbol of freshness and contemporaneity, Nicola Gallizia’s collection of lamps for Masiero represents the synthesis between light and sinuous shapes and the selection of noble materials.
In classical iconography, the goddess Hebe is represented with harmonious shapes, recalling the soft plasticity of a sculpture, such as those made by Canova.
The result is a collection of jewel lamps in which metal and precious stones interact with brass wire to create luminous geometries of an austere, timeless beauty. From the weave of the rich brass wire mesh lampshades, light filters delicately and illuminates rooms with softness and magic.
The base in natural Onyx, an ancient and precious stone used in antiquity to make jewels, makes the lamps ethereal. The special effect of the transparency combined with the unique reflections of the stone recall the reflections of moonlight.
