The unifying element between the chair, armchair, and the lounge armchair is the shape of the seat and its solid wood construction. In the chair, the shape resembles a curled leaf, and since there are no armrests, you can easily push it under tables that have an apron beneath the table top. The armchair brings even greater comfort to dining, and the lounge version guarantees greater rest for the back, thanks to the higher seat back.
This is also enhanced by the use of premium upholstery. Pocket springs and PUR foam are used in the seats of all Alba models, which adapt to the shape of the body and guarantee comfortable seating even after several hours. A similar system is used in orthopaedic mattresses. The models have been conceived to meet the demands of even the most prestigious hotels and restaurants, while also being perfect for the home. “It is marvellous that the character of Alba can also change with the type of material used. Premium Elmo leather may be the standard for a luxury hotel with more conservative interiors, while the fabrics Lowlands (made of quality Merino wool) and Walker (with its interesting geometrical pattern) better suit more modern types of interiors,” Gufler added. These new fabric types will also be a part of TON’s presentation of their new products at the Salone del Mobile trade fair.
About the furniture manufacturer Ton
Insert steam-soaked wood into a mould, put a metal flange on it, dry it, and complete it. Bent furniture has been produced using the same technological procedures in Bystřice pod Hostýnem since 1861, when their manufacture was started by Michael Thonet.
