The new furnishing and decorative ideas by KARE Design

A vibrant mix of furnishing styles – ranging from glamorous elegance to hippy chic – is what characterises the unmistakable look of Kare, the Munich furniture brand. After establishing more than 200 shops in 50 countries, the successful trend brand is now presenting its new furnishing and decorative ideas. With something like 20 highly varied trend worlds the Kare creative spirits celebrate spontaneous chic with excitingly arranged furniture, lighting and accessories.

The new furnishing and decorative ideas are a plea for everyone to cast off the usual restrictions of functionality in planning the way they furnish their home. And on the principle of “try before you buy”, the new Kare augmented reality app will indicate whether the new furniture, lamps and accessories will fit into your home.

Furnishing is a joy factor

In summing up this springtime’s looks Kare CEO and Creative Director Jürgen Reiter states: “We transform the home into a place full of sensuous joie de vivre, garnished with decorative gems instead of strict regimentation – in the spirit of ‘better merry than minimal, better unconventional than uninspired”. His business partner and joint CEO Peter Schönhofen adds: “We combine function with inspiration, turning the home into a haven in which people can live their dreams and realise their own identity.”

A bunny on the bookshelf

On the shelf there’s an amusing bookend in the shape of a green rabbit with golden ears – next to it a large wingback chair glows in spectacular colours, lavishly upholstered with the psychedelic patterns of the hippy era. There’s something of “Alice in Wonderland” about this Kare style world, in which mirrors with a Mexican touch featuring a frame made of tassels interact with footstools in the form of a sheep and a capybara as an unusual piggy bank. “Gaga” represents furnishing accessories with a twinkle in their eye – articles which will put a smile on everyone’s face.

The living room as hotel lounge

The “Blue Elegance” collection radiates the relaxed flair and discreet charm of lounges in exclusive hotel lobbies, and will transform any living room into a stylish lounge. The colour tone is set by blue in combination with gold, brass or silver, while the materials are of premium quality. With selected statement pieces a glamorous lounge ambience can easily be created in a private living room: for example with a gorgeous marble table with inlays, a silver-grey, luxuriously upholstered swivel chair in velvet, a gallery of reflecting images featuring the stars of the Hollywood era, or a table lamp with a trumpet-shaped base. The feminine variant is the “Cocktail” style world with a ravishing Fifties-style chair, generous portions of frosted pink, and vases covered all over in handcrafted rose petals.
