For the Brutal Beautiful collection, pulpo continues its successful collaborations with designers Hermann August Weizenegger and Sebastian Herkner, and enters new territory with a series of armchairs, as well as familiar ones with a series of coffee tables and lamps.
The armchairs Pow, Bang, and Kaboom are the latest creation by Hermann August Weizenegger for pulpo. Gin is the newest design of coffee tables in glass and steel by Sebastian Herkner, available in three variations. The series RL, designed by Sebastian Herkner, consists of one floor lamp and one pendant lamp in steel and aluminium.
Hermann August Weizenegger (born in 1963) studied industrial design at Berlin University of the Arts. Following his degree, he enjoyed 16 years of international success with his own design agency,Vogt+Weizenegger. Since 2004 he has been Professor of Industrial Design at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. Among other things,Weizenegger founded and initiated the festival DESIGNMAI Berlin, and has exhibited many times. In 2009 he founded his studio “HAW“ and works now in a broad product spectrum. Sebastian Herkner (born in 1981) studied product design at the Offenbach University of Art and Design, already focusing during his studies on designing objects and furniture merging various cultural contexts, combining new technologies with traditional craftsmanship in order to highlight the multifaceted beauty of the materials and draw renewed attention to small details. Since founding his own design studio in Offenbach am Main in 2006, he has designed products for various manufacturers, as well as working on interior design projects.
