The Legacy Yacht LC-60 by Lazzara

Built on a foiling catamaran hull with either an enclosed or open deck version, the Lazzara Family introduces a new 60-foot multi-hulled yacht. The steady, wide platform is a new aluminum and carbon fiber yacht design whose arrangement and amenities exemplify easy passenger access. Designed by Joe Lazzara, LC-60 was actually inspired by Joe’s brother, Rich Lazzara, who recently resigned from the yachting industry to focus on his health following an ALS diagnosis last year.

“We wanted to create the ultimate family boat,” said Joe Lazzara, president and CEO of Legacy Superyachts by the Lazzara Family. “The platform of the catamaran is ideal for some of the objectives we wanted to achieve.”

The beach club settee has three different configurations, providing flexibility for entertainment.

Features like articulating stairs allow easier access on and off the dock, especially agility-challenged yachtsmen yearning to safely cruise in luxury and style. “Boarding and getting in and out of the water will be pretty seamless,” said Lazzara.

For 67 years, the Lazzara family has defined legendary style

A glass bottom salt water pool allows for zero gravity relaxation. Interchangeable, beach deck furniture provides flexibility for the owner’s space. The voluminous hull design with outboard engines provides space for two WaveRunners or water toys concealed below deck. The interior offers the signature Lazzara atrium galley amid a five cabin arrangement as well as a layout for four cabins plus crew. The main deck’s starboard settee seats eight with a full bar and popup 60” TV, shaded, aft facing settees with high-low tables and an 80-square-foot sun pad on the bow area for sunbathing.

The 600 hp Quad outboard engines pack this yacht with power, enabling a top speed of 45 knots, with the foil allowing more efficiency and a smoother ride.

“We are talking to a builders about a joint venture of this particular LC-60 design and making it a reality,” said Lazzara. “I would like to see it in a production facility and believe the outboard power catamaran segment will continue to grow in popularity.”

Rich Lazzara can’t wait to see this innovative yacht built. “While many lifestyle changes have been forced upon me, my passion for the yachting industry has not wavered,” Rich Lazzara said. “My brother, Tony Lazzara, stepped into my position at HMY Yacht Sales to serve the many brokerage clients I have had the privilege of serving for so many years. I am grateful for all our memories on the docks, at boat shows and closing transactions and look forward to seeing you on the water.”

Generations of Innovation

For 67 years, the Lazzara family has defined legendary style and unmatched luxury at sea.

As a third generation yacht builder, Joe Lazzara’s yacht designs reflect Generations of Innovation by the Lazzara Family.

Vince Lazzara, a fiberglass sailboat pioneer, launched several companies, including Columbia Yachts and Gulfstar, with his sons, Brad and Dick, working by his side. In the early 1990s, Dick Lazzara established world-renowned Lazzara Yachts with Italian styling and the best American engineering and manufacturing processes.

With designer DNA, Joe Lazzara began working as a naval architect and industrial designer in 2000. By 2008, his award-winning designs and concepts for express-style yachts helped grow a $100 million family enterprise, with Joe building yachts in the United States, Europe and Asia.

The LC-60 team supporting Legacy Superyachts includes naval architecture by Ian Ombres, marine engineering by Nick Boksa and Boksa Marine Design Inc., interior design by Alexandre Thiriat and marketing and PR by Lisa Overing and Julianne Raines of Megayacht Media. Legacy Superyachts is sold exclusively through Denison Yachting and Denison Superyacht Division.
