Need for Speed: Auctionata presents luxury sports cars and yachts, June 11

On June 11, 2016, at 3 pm CET, the leading online auction house Auctionata will present a summery auction live at its auction studios situated right by the river Havel in Berlin. 27 remarkably noble Classic Cars and luxury boats will be for sale at the dazzling auction event entitled “Need for Speed: Luxury Sports Cars & Yachts”. The auction will be moderated by the famous German TV star and passionate car collector Horst Lichter, who also hosted Auctionata’s Ferrari Only auction last year. Enthusiasts can look forward to a first-class selection of vehicles from Ferrari to Porsche, as well as two motorboats.

The auction, as usual for Auctionata, can be followed via an online livestream from all over the world. This time however, a large number of bidders are expected on-site to watch and participate in the auction under the summer sky. For the first time, the auctioneer will not put down the hammer in the auction studio, but will receive bids directly from the audience outside. This way, collectors from all over the world can personally bid via www.auctionata.com, or the Auctionata Live iPhone app, and experience the thrill of an exhilarating classic cars auction firsthand.

The auction will be moderated by Horst Lichter, who has been a popular TV personality for over 17 years (e.g. with his show “Bares für Rares” on the German TV channel ZDF). Not only is he a passionate chef, but also a big fan of classic cars and motorcycles – owning a fine collection himself. He has a special soft spot for Ferraris: “For over 25 years, classic cars have had my heart racing. One can feel especially wild and free when driving a Ferrari – it’s pure bliss!”

The auction features a particular highlight for all Ferrari fans: a very well-kept and first-hand Ferrari 512 BB. Being just one of 929 globally produced cars of that series, it has been handled with outmost care by the Italian owner for 27 years and was regularly maintained and moved. This model was the last to come with a 12-cylinder carburetor increased by a 5 litre capacity by Ferrari. A notable characteristic of the 512 BB is the 180 V engine that resembles the 3 litre racing engines of Formula 1 Ferraris. The new owner will inevitably have fun when driving this car, and the bidding will start at 200,000 Euros.

Concentrated power is embodied in the black Ferrari 548 Speciale that comes with the manufacturer’s warranty and generous special features such as carbon racing seats and Ultrasuede leather interior fittings. The car is in near-new condition, having been registered in 2014 and reading a mileage of only 8,596 km. The starting price is 170,000 Euros.

Another notable Ferrari is the limited 430 Scuderia 16M Model from 2009, which will go to auction at a starting price of 170,000 Euros. With a mileage of only 16,559 km and new service, this car comes in great condition. Furthermore, the red Ferrari Testarossa from 1988 with a mileage of 28,771 km and a starting price of 80,000 Euros will surely excite bidders all over the world.

Another specialty is a Porsche 930 Ur-Turbo 3,0 from 1977, with a starting price of 110,000 Euros. This vehicle earned an official Swiss vintage car status and was photographed for a limited edition book entitled “Porsche 911” by Gabriel Franz.

The summery auction will be crowned with an absolute eye-catcher: A Riva Boat from 1961 sheathed with mahogany wood. The ‘Ferrari of the boat world’ with the construction number 573 and the original combustion enginge with c. 175 HS will be auctioned directly out of the Havel waters at the auction location! The starting price lies at 50,000 Euros.
