Inspired by the art of KAWS, Nikita describes the apartment as “aesthetic, modernity and functionality”. Based on these three values, he created a project in a small apartment, his biggest challenge, how to achieve such distinct and functional areas in such a small space? Nikita succeeded, and did a fantastic job. He reconciled dining room, living room and kitchen in the same space and differentiated the environments so that they did not mix, but at the same time established harmony between them, using complementary tones.
Although it is a simple and modern apartment, it is an apartment with plenty of decorative details. As previously mentioned Nikita is a fan of KAWS and made a point of including them in the project, using two giant bear- shaped statues, giving a younger and more artistic touch to the project. His main focus was on the furniture and lighting to compensate for the simplicity and size of the house, and for this he relied on DelightFULL and Essential Home who helped him perfectly to achieve this beautiful project.
Designer Nikita Petrushko used non-standard materials, colors and furniture for the apartment in Warsaw
Nikita has a vast experience in the design world, and over the years he has lived this experience full of successes and great projects. For him, his favorite project was a house he realized in Dubai, because he used solutions not so usual in his projects. He combined non-standard materials, colors, and furniture, understanding the client’s style and worldview in order to bring spiritual satisfaction to every moment of time. Nikita defines himself as bold : “desires to move in a direction that corresponds to the inner world of man and creates the greatest possible comfort of staying in the house, surrounding the specific comfort of a particular person, corresponding to his picture of the world, charging it with energy, balance and calmness, because these are the goals to achieve the designer.”.
The apartment reflects a modern classic style
The structure of this apartment came from the modern classic style and in this project it is evident the combination of three styles: classic, modern and futuristic with a touch of KAWS-art in a harmonious and interesting way. Despite being a small apartment, you don’t feel a lack of space, and it manages to have all the rooms well defined without any kind of clutter. The wooden floor takes us to a more classic style, as well as the furniture. The colors give us the comfort we need in a house, neutral tones with hints of color and natural materials. The art and layout of the house bring a futuristic touch to this wonderful project.
In the dining room luxury materials complement a design drawn by simplicity
Starting with the dining room, we have in focus the incredible Bertoia dining table, an imposing and large table in marble with tapered legs. This table not only seats many people, but is a piece that draws attention by itself, not only for its size, but for its simplicity and elegance combined with luxury materials. To complement, Henry is a three-legged upholstered chair, handmade in solid wood and with soft, velvet upholstery. Although it only features three legs, unlike most chair designs, Henry provides the best stability and safeness to your interior design. Its round circular structure is the perfect way to add a modern twist to your interior room project, while keeping things comfortable.
Timeless interior design ads a classic touch to the living room
In the living room we have a space that is not very big, but ample, which makes it seem larger. A very contemporary and timeless room, with a very classic sofa combined with the Marco armchair, an armchair part of a beautiful collection that brings a comfortable and stylish shape, prepared to elevate the decor of any project. Despite being a space with plenty of natural light, the DelightFULL lighting makes all the difference, as it enhances the classic touch of this room with its golden tones.
Filled with details, this coffee table is wonderful, Franco is a stunning coffee table that brings us the best of two worlds. This is the elegant Scandinavian design and the fun mid-century modern look. The combination of these two unique inspirations is what makes this piece one of the most versatile products for your interior design project.
