GOODMAN – Rodolfo Dordoni design creates a sensation of softness and cosiness

A detail that becomes volume is the essence of the Goodman design, the new modular seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni. With a clear 1970s imprint, the inspiration behind this design is the graphic character of those years, its ability to stratify and cross marks, reducing the complexity of things into a few distinctive features. In this way, in Goodman the mark of the matelassé stitching, typical of Minotti’s tailoring processes, draws shadows and light on the seat, creating the sensation of a quilted cross-padding. The system is suspended from the floor on refined Bronze or Polished Chrome metal feet, set back from the edge, and a perimeter frame that matches the same finishes; the optical effect of suspension in Goodman enhances the softness of the seat, offering a super-comfortable welcome.

The volume of the one-piece seat is particularly ergonomic and comfortable thanks to the use of the innovative technology used: the system of pocket springs is combined with a layer of polyurethane padding in layered densities that give a consistent sensation of softness and cosiness. Compactness and softness come together in the same sofa concept, making it suitable for a more formal use both also for extreme relaxation; from the most traditional configurations to the more dynamic ones made possible by a series of individual components that animate the living space: end units, corner units, central units, chaise-longues.

Each element is like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle to be joined with others to define its creator’s own home environment. Compact volumes capable of adapting to the space, the needs and tastes of the individual, as well as to the evolution of his or her living requirements over the years, easily changing into new compositions.

The unusual accessory consisting of a contoured tray covered in saddle-hide, perfectly clings to the volume of the armrest just like a saddle, making the seating system fully versatile, since the cushioning can be turned into a functional coffee table always at hand.

On one hand, the aesthetic detail of the tone-on-tone stitching echoes a distinctive trait of Minotti craftsmanship, while on the other, the hidden evolution of the design, represented by the padding technology, and the distance between the stitching, are completely new. The stitching, which becomes a graphic detail of clear couturier matrix, in its geometric abstractionism enhances the identity of Goodman: the new addition to the collection that is able to draw inspiration from its aesthetic history and the extremely high quality of its tailoring details, evolving it with technology and sophistication.

TWIGGY – Rodolfo Dordoni design comes up with a curved, dynamic design

Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, Twiggy is the new family of seats that stands out for its ability to revolutionise living spaces with an unprecedented ideal of timeless beauty. Twiggy presents itself with different elements, always distinguished by Minotti’s sophisticated sartorial taste. The family originated as a single armchair in the Small, Large and Deep versions, with and without armrests, but embellished with stitching that reveals the depth of the brand’s manufacturing know-how combined with its great ability to make even the most sculptural seats extremely comfortable.

In addition to the armchair, the range includes a chaise-longue, a couch and three benches, which can be used as elegant individual elements to be freely inserted into the living room, creating a modular system that can be modelled as desired with the greatest of ease.

A new aggregative language is born: free from schemes and preconfigurations, capable of adapting to needs in continuous evolution. The Twiggy seating elements have rigorous geometric shapes but are extremely comfortable and enveloping, covered in leather, nubuck or fabric and embellished with refined stitching. The curved, dynamic design of the base, made of semi-glossy polished aluminium or aluminium with a Black Coffee colour polished varnish, is one of the details that contribute to making these seats unique and destined to redefine the concept of style.

SOLID STEEL – Rodolfo Dordoni transforms even an accessory into a piece of art

The Solid Steel family of coffee tables is characterised by its clear 1970s inspiration: glossy and mirrored finishes, rigorous, overlapping and staggered volumes recreate a strong yet minimal architectural geometry, which perfectly complements different styles of living areas.

The Solid Steel coffee tables are parallelepipeds with one or two staggered levels; in the two-volume version the finishes of the higher top are glossy lacquered Moka, Cappuccino, Malachite, Chestnut, or Moka open-pore lacquered ash, while the lower volume has the polished stainless steel frame with mirrored top.

In the monobloc version, however, the frame is again in polished stainless steel or polished Bronze with four possible finishes for the top: Arabescato Grigio marble, Nero Marquina marble, open-pore Moka colour lacquered ash or mirror.

The colour palette is consistent with the imagery of the living space by which they were inspired: mirrored stainless steel combined with coloured lacquers, wood and marble finished with a special smoothing treatment that enhances its matt texture, in stark contrast to the shine of the mirrored steel frame. These details are typical of the style of a brand that knows how to translate simplicity into sophistication, transforming a furnishing accessory into a strong and recognisable feature.

The minimalism of their shape makes these coffee tables architectural objects with a big personality, incisive in the overall aesthetics of the space and yet easy to insert into many contexts: in the area in front of the sofa, but also at the side of the living room, as a support element, the ideal finishing touch to any environment.

The Solid Steel coffee tables flawlessly follow the evolution of the Minotti range which, in the 2022 Collection, combines Scandinavian style with the striking effects of Japanese Zen: minimalism and in-depth research, simple elegance and maniacal attention to detail, the reduction of excesses and radiating brilliance. Harmonious contrasts in a perpetual balance between domestic life and Hospitality.

LOUVER – Rodolfo Dordoni design has reinterpreted the Seventies vibe

A light and refined coffee table that finds its expressive power in the masterful use of lacquer, Louver features legs in solid Liquorice-coloured ash supporting a flared top that appears to rest delicately on top, as if it were a tray. Designed in three different heights with three different diameters for the top, it is also available in an oval version.

Like the other furnishing pieces in the 2022 Collection, Louver is clearly inspired by the 1970s, a reference underlined by the lacquering of its top in Cappuccino, Chestnut, Malachite, Moka and Army Green, mixed with the more rational taste expressed by its clean, minimal forms.

The nuances of the top reinterpret the Seventies vibe with a surface effect that moves the lacquer, making it not only shiny but also strongly textured. The combination of rational shapes and the discreet decoration of the top make it an unexpected coffee table, rendered elegant also thanks to its polished wood legs. Of all the coffee tables in the collection, it is the one with the most decorative inspiration, but always calibrated with a modernist taste, imbued by the combination of the thickness of the entire perimeter of the top and its surface.
