German lighting Designer Horst Lettenmayer, created high-quality processed swimming pool spotlights with efficient power LEDs which use only 1/10 of the usual energy consumption. Manufactured near Munich betec´s Disque Spotlights fit with 16mm construction height to each swimming pool wall. They can be easily retrofitted in existing pools and installation costs are low.
The bulb emits up to 50,000 hours, compared to previous spotlights with low-voltage bulbs of 150 to 250 watts or 24 volts due to high heat and high energy consumption only a maximum life of 100 hours. Because of low heat generation of the spotlights in underwater use, there is no algae growth on the surface of water.
Cooling takes place by convection of the surface. The LED lamp can be dimmed continuously (PWM ballast). Includes thermal switch.
The VSG safety glass and safety shutdown in the event of cooling interruption (e.g. no water in the pool). “Disque” can be infinitely dimmed by a PWM ballast. Because of low heating of the spotlight in underwater operation, no algae of its surfaces. The cooling takes place by convection of the surface. In addition, a built-in thermal switch protects the spotlight from overheating during operation without water.
