Tai Ping’s hand-made carpets are a highlight of its product offering. The hand-tufting process allows for total freedom of expression, with endless variations in pattern, colour, texture, and shape. Using only the best materials – including silk, linen, wool, cashmere, and jute – Tai Ping is especially well known for innovations in fibre combinations. Examples include a delicate blend of silk and linen, a luxurious texture that only softens with wear, and an unconventional juxtaposition of sisal and silk. Hand-carving – a process by which rugs are literally sculpted by hand to create one-of-a-kind patterns and texture – raises the bar on customisation yet again.
